Disney Cruise Line Returns to New York in Fall 2027

Disney Cruise Line returns to New York City in Fall 2027, with the Disney Wish sailing seven special voyages from Manhattan.

Following its inaugural European season, the Disney Wish will arrive in New York in late September 2027. From there, the ship will sail seven special voyages ranging from four to seven nights.

For me, this announcement feels particularly exciting.

Why I’ve Always Wanted to Sail Disney from New York

New York is one of my favourite cities, and I’ve previously had the chance to cruise from Manhattan with another cruise line.

Sailing out of New York is such a unique experience. You leave Manhattan behind, sail past the Financial District and make your way toward the Statue of Liberty before heading out to sea.

On the morning our cruise ended, I opened the curtains in our stateroom and discovered the Disney Magic docked right beside us, her funnel glowing in the early morning light.

I remember looking at her and thinking that someday I wanted to sail Disney Cruise Line from New York.

So yes, I was very happy to see New York back on Disney Cruise Line’s schedule.

Disney Wish Cruises to Bermuda

Five of the seven New York sailings will visit Bermuda.

Even better, three will include an additional day in Bermuda. That gives families extra time to enjoy its beaches, scenery and distinctive island culture.

For travellers who’ve sailed Disney’s traditional Bahamas or Caribbean itineraries, Bermuda also offers something refreshingly different.

Disney Returns to Atlantic Canada and New England

Disney Cruise Line will also return to New England and Canada’s Atlantic coast from New York.

These will be Disney’s first cruises in the region in nearly four years, making my sighting one of the final cruises since then.

Fall is a beautiful time for these itineraries, combining Disney’s onboard experience with coastal destinations and autumn scenery. Paired with the beauty of Central Park in fall makes these cruises a must-do for those who call Autumn their favourite season.

In addition, for Canadian travellers, I think these sailings are especially interesting. They offer a Disney Cruise Line vacation that feels a lot different from the familiar Florida departure options, and the opportunity to sail to Canada’s east coast will also hold special meaning for many.

When Can You Book?

Disney Cruise Line is opening Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 reservations in stages.

• As of September 2, Pearl, Platinum and Gold Castaway Club members can book.
• Silver Castaway Club members can begin booking September 3.
• General booking opens September 8, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. Eastern.

Why Booking Early Makes a Difference

When Disney Cruise Line releases new itineraries, pricing is often at its most attractive and availability is widest.

Families who book early generally have better stateroom selection and access to popular itineraries. They may also secure lower starting fares than those typically available closer to departure.

With only seven New York departures planned, I expect some sailings and stateroom categories to attract attention quickly.
